ENVIRONMENTAL WORKS ANNOUNCES NEW STAFF MEMBERS
SPRINGFIELD, MO - In a move intended to further increase its high quality and personalized customer service, Environmental Works, Inc. (EWI) announced the recent expansion of its staff.
”Each of these individuals brings to EWI the expertise and excellence that will help us continue to better serve our clients and the industry,” said Ms. Robin Melton, Owner and President. “EWI is fortunate to welcome such talented staff members to our team.”
Kassia Travers: Ms. Travers entered her role as Marketing Manager, which was a newly created position on July 23. She is responsible for all aspects of EWI’s marketing and business development programs as well as working with all advertising accounts and the media. Ms. Travers brings over 4 years of sales and marketing experience with prior experience at Noble and Associates and The Springfield News-Leader. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and minors in Business and Global Studies from Drury University.
Shaynan Johnston: Ms. Johnston joined EWI on July 25 as Associate Scientist. Her focus will be Phase I Assessments under the direction of Ms. Rita Wiggin. Before coming to EWI, Ms. Johnston was involved in the Adopt A Quad for Galloway and James River Basin projects. Additionally, she has taken part in short face bear digs, is an amateur spelunker, and a member of the Ozark Mountain Paddlers. She graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a comprehensive minor including Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics.
Brandon Thornhill: Mr. Thornhill started as an Environmental Technician on August 10. Having a Geology background, he has been involved in city-wide clean-up projects with the MSU Geological Society. His experience includes helping monitor harmful element concentrations in Jordan Creek and mapping the Osceola Impact Structure. In addition, he earned an “A” at the MU field camp in Wyoming, which is one of the best in the nation. Brandon graduated from Missouri State University with a comprehensive Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.
Natalie Hines: Ms. Hines joined EWI on June 26 as Administrative Assistant. She brings 5 years of administrative experience. Ms. Hines most recently worked at Blackwell Sanders Law Firm, Kansas City in the Word Processing Department. Prior to this position, she assisted 13 Vice-Presidents while at Swisher International Inc. (Swisher Sweets Cigar Co.) in Jacksonville, Florida.
Joey Maloney: Mr. Maloney began his position as an Environmental Technician at the EWI Kansas City office on July 16. His most recent work at Clean Harbors Environmental Services included testing unknown material for hazards and complying with both Department of Transportation and State and Federal environmental regulations. Joey graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in both Environmental Studies and Economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
