Large Regional Hospital - Springfield, Missouri
Project Description
A large regional hospital contracted EWI to perform a pre-demolition asbestos inspection in support of planned facility renovations and expansion. The inspection area included an 8-story medical facility with a basement and ancillary structures. The asbestos survey included collection of 166 bulk samples for laboratory analysis. Laboratory samples were collected from ceiling, insulation, flooring, and various additional suspect ACM materials throughout the facility. This project had to be conducted during normal business hours and thus involved ongoing communication and coordination with hospital staff.
